Northern Velebit is a national park located in the northern part of the mythical Velebit mountain. The mountain is situated along the coast and is famous for its biodiversity and diverse climatic characteristics due to its two different climates that clash on the mountain. Zavižan is a locality with a mountain hut and the oldest high-altitude weather station in Croatia. Velebit botanical garden is close by. View from the peaks is breathtaking, both of the sea and of the inland. One thing is for sure, you’ll never forget hiking through Velebit.

SHORT ITINERARY

  • 9.00 a.m. pick up on the island of Krk
  • 10.00 a.m. start at the foot of the mountain
  • End time – depending on the group
