Risnjak is, unfortunately, the least visited national park in Croatia. That is mostly due to its location without a proper traffic connection with bigger cities. Mountains far away from  civilisation, located between the sea and the continent. It is a location of great biodversity, with dense forests which are a home to lynx, wolf and bear. Winters are long, cold and snowy, summers are short and never too hot. River Kupa  spring tour is a nice walk through a beautiful valley known as the Butterfly Valley. The spring itself is one of the most powerful, most extended and deepest Croatian wellsprings.
